In 1948, Thern, Inc. was founded, manufacturing and marketing lifting equipment for use in agriculture. After developing a series of successful products, Thern quickly established itself as an industry innovator for quality engineered cranes and winches used in load handling applications across a wide variety of industries. Today, Thern is a family-owned company and leading manufacturer of standard and custom built load handling equipment for customers around the world.
Hall Stage North America was formed in 2007 and represents the joining together of two global leaders, Hall Stage and Thern. Combining 110 years of excellence in theatre rigging with 60 years of load handling expertise, Hall Stage North America provides theatre and entertainment customers with unique capabilities unavailable anywhere else. Supplying a full catalog of stage rigging equipment, including curtain track, blocks, hand winches, motorized hoists, and roll drops, operators can select exactly what they need for their venue or build a custom system to their exact specifications.
